Trailing drawdowns are modelled the common way: the floor follows your highest balance (end-of-day close, or every trade for intraday) and stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance. Rules differ by firm — enter yours. Simulations assume independent trades.

Why drawdown, not account size, decides the outcome

The profit target is what you want; the drawdown is what ends the attempt. On a $1,000 drawdown, risking $250 per trade leaves room for only 4 full losses in a row. Size each trade so a normal losing streak still fits, and read trailing drawdown explained and how to pass a prop firm challenge.
